Cristaleria Espanola - Interim Figures And Capital Increase

Spanish glass manufacturer Cristaleria Espanola, a quoted affiliate French group Saint-Gobain, lifted interim net profits by 2.6% to Ptas 7,305m against the same period in 1997. Interim turnover rose by 12% to Ptas 88,425m. The capital and reserves of the Cristaleria Espanola group reached Ptas 94,372m. Flat glass sales rose by 28%, due to a positive trend in prices. The company commented that glass packaging sales did not experience a significant variation but said there would be an increase.
