Consumers Packaging Inc recorded operating income of US$3.1m for the first quarter of 1998. This represents a significant improvment on the first quarter of 1997, which saw an operating loss of US$9m. the improvement was achieved on sales of US $343.2m for the three months ending 31 March 1998.
