Consumers Packaging Contract

Canada's Consumers Glass has been awarded a contract to supply all the glass beer bottles used by Molson Breweries, Canada's leading brewer, for the next 10 years. Based on current sales to Molson, the contract could be worth C$700m over the 10-year term. "This agreement comes out of a strong working partneship between Molson and Consumers," said J J Ghaznavi, chairman and chief executive officer of Consumers Packaging. "It also reflects both companies' commitment to quality and innovation." The contract calls for investments by Consumers in technology, manufacturing processes and equipment over the next 10 years to assure that bottles supplied to Molson will remain quality leaders.
