Following the first eight successful ICCG meetings, the 9th ICCG conference will be organized in Breda The Netherlands, from 24-28 June, 2012. The focus of the conference is to bring together scientists, technologists, practitioners and managers from universities, research institutes, coating manufacturers, material and equipment suppliers and user industries to discuss the latest developments in the field of large-area glass and plastic coatings. The application of coatings is an area which has become extremely important for large-area or high-volume glass products. Besides glass, plastics are becoming more and more important as substrates for flexible, light weight and unbreakable optical and electronic applications. For this reason the conference focuses on the development and application of advanced coatings on both glass and plastics, using a broad and multidisciplinary approach. Topics will include all steps and techniques necessary to realise a final coated product, such as glass cleaning and durability. New markets and trends are another focus of the conference. Finally, the 9th ICCG provides information on the different technologies at a general level for new product designers, as well as technical aspects, safety measures, and environmental and economic factors.
