Compositional Dependence Of Solubility Of Sulphate In Silicate Glasses

The amount of sulphate retained in silciate glases made by melting batches to which alkali sulphate has been added in place of a part of alkali carbonate as starting material was measured by energy dispersive x-ray fluorescence analysis.
