Yioula Glassworks, Aegaleo is the parent of the Group. Established in 1947, its one furnace melts around 300M bottles/jars in a variety of shapes, designs & colors. Drujba Glassworks, based in Plovdid, Bulgaria, joined the group in 1998. Drujba has 2 furnaces & produces around 130,000/tpa & is the biggest producer of the group. Stirom, of Bucharest, Romania became a member in 2003. Its unique in that it produces both containers & tableware, the only one amongst the group. The Romanian site incorporates 4 glass melting furnaces & 12 lines. Biomedsklo based in Zhitomir, Ukraine, together with the other Ukrainian company Bucha Glassworks, are newcomers, having joined in 2005. Biomedsklo is the sole factory in the group making pharmaceutical glass. It employs 2 glass melting furnaces that feed 6 lines & both Ukrainian companies' annual output is over 200M pieces. (bottles/jars). Bucha boasts 3 glass melting furnaces, 2 of which are devoted to the needs of the packaging industry. These 2 furnaces deliver glass to 6 lines.
