Commission 2005 Environmental Policy Review

The European Commission published, on 16 February 2006, a Communication from the Commission to the Council and the European Parliament setting out its 2005 environment policy review. It identifies three main sets of events that were of particular importance: Major steps taken in the fight against climate change; Work on the next generation of environmental policies including the identification of 5 thematic strategies: Air pollution, marine environment, urban environment, use of resources and waste The review of the EU Sustainable Development Strategy.
