Global Combustion Systems is a relative newcomer to the glass industry but the people behind the name are what you would call industry veterans. The company is managed and owned by Richard Pont, Ian Shoveller and Peter Finlay, who between them have amassed over 50 years' experience in the glass industry. Former employees of Laidlaw Drew, the company was created in 2006 in order to offer the glass industry a choice of combustion system supplier. Two years on the company has reported an impressive turnover of £1.5M.
