Collaborative Uk Project Enlightens Glass Industry

Research has shown that 2.65M/tonnes of glass entered the UK waste stream in 2007, with 2.2M/t of this arising from the beverage sector alone. With increasing pressure to reduce raw material use and energy costs, many companies have been embarking on packaging reduction commitments and looking to glass lightweighting as a potential solution.
