Cold-End Bottle Surface Treatment

BM2000, based on knowledge acquired by Vidromecanica, from Portugal, has developed a new kind of cold-end bottle surface treatment whose main characteristic is automatic adaptation to production changes. The company claims that, in so doing, inter-row bottle spraying is always guaranteed. BM2000 describes the equipment as being PLC controlled, with PC communication. The operator-equipment interface is comprised of a console with easy-to-use dialogue menus, and bottle-movement is followed via a linear unit driven by a position controlled motor. Controlled on two axes - X and Y - inter-row spraying is thus assured, meaning that fluid does not enter the bottles. Spraying is carried out with up to four adjustable guns, thus ensuring the whole bottle surface is sprayed during each passage.
