Code Readers

The LNMC is an alphanumeric mould number reader for containers without dot codes, and the LNMP is a dot code reader for containers with dot codes, both produced by MSC. The readers function by camera and the French company says they allow association between mould numbers and defects, as they are mounted in MSC's no-rotation Multistation base and finish inspector. The association of sidewall defects is also possible when the multistation is combined with the MCAL. As the defects are associated and counted according to their type and mould number through the network, the code readers permit process supervision and optimization, with the help of the defect recognition statistics. Both allow automatic rejection of defective bottles identified by their mould number, enabling operators to optimize the machine adjustments.
