The Coca-Cola Company has confirmed that it will invest US$1.5 BN in its Russian operations over the coming five years, with a particular focus on expanding its presence in the St Petersburg area. Meanwhile, Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling (CCHBC), one of the world's largest bottlers and producers of Coca-Cola, in which the Coca-Cola Co owns a 24% share, has invested in opening a 3rd production line in St Petersburg.CCHBC has made a US$28.2M investment which will double the annual output of this site to 400m litres, which the company says is in response to growing demand for its products in the Russian market. CCHBC also announced it has signed a deal with the local government in Rostov to develop the company's 14th production plant in the country.
