Co-Operative Issues Product Recall

The Co-operative supermarket chain has issued a product recall after discovering that some of its 75cl bottles of wine contained small pieces of glass. A spokesperson for The Co-operative Group told Packaging News: "The cause of the problem has been traced to a fault with the capping process, which has now been rectified. "The Co-operative received full co-operation from the packer, and is pleased with the response that they have provided." The products involved are all Californian wines, although the name of the packer has not been revealed.
