Chinese Glass Fibre Faces Dumping Threat

The European Composites Industry Association (EuCIA) warns that the EU Commission's decision to impose provisional import duties of 43.6% on certain Chinese glass fibre products will lead to a significant slowdown of composites manufacturing in Europe over the coming months, which will be exacerbated by increased prices of glass fibre on the EU market. On 16 Sept, the OJ published official notification of the EC's provisional anti-dumping measures of glass fibre products originating in China. Import duties of 43.6% came into effect 17 Sept, for a provisional period of 6 months.
