Projection televisions are already gaining in popularity in Asia, and particularly China, and this trend seems set to continue during the coming year. For example, as recently as 1998, the annual sales for projection figures within the People's Republic were just 5000 sets, and yet this had increased to 200,000 sets by 2000.
