China - Soda Ash Producers Propose Output Cut

Executives from China's 10 largest soda ash enterprises held a meeting in Beijing last September, under the organisation of the State Petroleum and Chemical Industry Bureau (SPCIB), proposing specific measures for further limiting output to protect prices and intensifying supervision. The production of soda ash is highly centralized in China, and the production capacity of the participating ten large soda ash producers accounts for over 70% of the national total. (whole item)
