[China] Neg Launches New Glass Fibre Plant

Nippon Electric Glass Co (NEG) has launched a new glass fibre business in China through Nippon Electric Glass (Fujian) Co Ltd. NEG (Fujian) will construct a new glass fibre plant with capacity of around 30,000/tpa and is planning to manufacture glass fibre chopped strands used for fibre reinforced thermoplastics in the middle of 2006. This is the first time a Japanese manufacturer has constructed a plant in China. Total investment is around Japanese Yen 4BN.
