Jushi & Gibson have restarted the 70,000/mt furnace which uses Jushi's state-of-the-art fibre technology in Jiujiant, Jiangxi Province, China.The new furnace incorporates technology which significantly improves the quality & consistency of final products & is in line with Jushi's Environmental Stewardship commitment. "Jushi decided to increase capacity of the facility to better serve the rapidly growing Chinese composites market while relieving pressure on exports," said Joe Peng, president of Gibson Fiberglass. "We anticipate increased demand from the burgeoning wind energy market globally & are investing during the down economy to be in a position to serve future needs of the composites market worldwide." Jushi, with capacity for over 870,000 metric tons, is the second largest fiberglass reinforcement manufacturer in the world & the largest in China.
