[China] Environmental Controls Restrict Refractory Supply

The spate of environmental controls and temporary closure of plants in China have resulted in a clearance of stockpiles of fused magnesia (FM) which, with no production taking place, is now sold out. Fused magnesia is no longer available in China's Liaoning Province after environmental inspections of local operations have stopped local production, while inventories have by now been cleared. Industry media has learned from both sellers in China and buyers outside China that there is no FM left to sell at the moment from local production plants.
