A E Chapman & Son Ltd, leading UK wholesaler of glass packaging to the beer industry, and international glassmaker O-I, have developed a new standard beer bottle at just 280 grams. The development retains the overall shape of the bottle which has come to dominate the glass packed ale sector while removing 19g from each container.
