Champagne And Sparkling Wine - Opportunities For Lightweighting

This information sheet has been prepared as part of WRAP’s (Waste & Resources Action Programme) GlassRite Wine project. One of the objectives of the project was to encourage further lightweighting of wine bottles, thereby reducing the tonnage of glass entering the waste stream and improving resource efficiencies. The information provided assesses the opportunities to use lighter weight Champagne and sparkling wine bottles.
