Ceylon Glass Expansion: Risky Or Reasoned?

The news that Ceylon Glass Company plans to invest in new technology to augment its product range and launch an export drive to take advantage of its skills in catering to niche markets has certainly come at an interesting time for container glass in the subcontinent. According to the firm, which dominates the domestic market for glass bottles and containers, approximately Rs500M will be spent on modernising the plant and the installation of a brand new, dedicated power station.
