Ceylon Glass - 9-Month Net Turnover Increase

Sri Lanka's primary manufacture of glass packaging containers and bottles, Ceylon Glass, announced net turnover of SLRs 498.26m for the 9-months to 31 December 1998, an increase compared to the year ago result of SLRs 392.55m. The company reported operating profit of SLRs 59.27m, slightly higher than the figure for the first 9-months of 1997, wheich was SLRs 52.79m. Net profit in the 9 months to the end of 1998 was SLRs 36.73m, compared to SLRs 22.07m in the same period in 1998.
