Ceramic-To-Metal Components For Manufacturers Of X-Ray Tubes Developed By Morgan Advanced Ceramics

Morgan Advanced Ceramics has announced the development of a range of ceramic ceramic-to-metal components for manufacturers of X-ray tubes. The power feedthrus, filament supports, anode, cathodes and getter support assemblies (which house the working elements of the tube) are made using a combination of high-purity alumina and metal. The result is components with superior electrical properties and thermal shock resistance that can improve the reliability, durability and operational life of X-ray machines. Unlike the glass-to-metal assemblies that have traditionally been used, the ceramic-to-metal assemblies can also be produced in a variety of sizes - from 2mm to 300mm - making it ideal for increasingly popular high-power scanning devices in the security market.
