Central Glass of Japan forecasts parent company sales of Y144.5bn and net profits of Y6.1bn for the year to 31 March 2001. For the year 1999 to 31 March 2000 the Japanese sheet glass maker reported sales totalling Y141.4bn and net profits of Y432m. A forecast dividend of Y5 remains unaltered from 1999. At a group level, the forecast to 31 March 2001 is sales of Y180bn and a net profit of Y5.6bn. The 1999 business year ended with sales of Y175bn and net losses of Y521m.
