Celebrating 75 Years In Glassfibre Reinforcement

While fibres of glass had existed for years as a laboratory curiosity and niche application, Owens Corning pioneers discovered and developed commercially viable processes for making glass fibres in large quantities. And then they created markets for those fibres. The market for glass reinforcements today is estimated to be over US$ 7BN globally, and the company is celebrating its 75th anniversary as the leader in glass fibre reinforcements and engineered materials for composite systems.
