The American Ceramic Society (ACerS) and the National Institute of Standards (NIST) recently released the "Phase Equilibria Diagrams CD-ROM Database Version 3.0". Phase diagrams are used throughout the industry to understand and control the complex phenomena which increasingly underlie advanced industrial production and materials performance. To service the need for reliable phase diagram data, ACerS and NIST jointly published a series of critically evaluated collections of phase diagrams containing more than 19,000 diagrams previously published in 20 phase volumes produced as part of the AcerS-NIST Program.
