Canada's CCL Industries and Krones have a joint agreement to continue the development and worldwide marketing of the TripleS stretch-sleeve films which decorate the entire surface of a bottle. The stretching capability of the TripleS film, at 55%, is more than twice as high as with conventional stretch-sleeve films, where the future is in the range of 20%, thus they can be smaller and save on raw material. A hot tunnel is not needed either. Krones is building its own applicator for launch later this year.
