Sunderland Council has become the first English local authority to offer residence beverage carton recycling. 10 new collection containers were added to banks at city recycling centres on 3 December in a collaboration between Sunderland Council and the Liquid Food and Carton Manufacturers Association, with local member SIG Combibloc supporting the collection bins.
