Carlsberg In India - Probably

The clear growth potential of the Indian market has also caught the eye of Danish brewer Carlsberg, with the rumour mill throwing up almost constant reports of the company seeking to enter the market. Reports in India suggest Carlsberg is about to buy Himneel Breweries for around INR 350M. A company spokesman admitted that talks had taken place with a number of Indian companies this year, but refused to confirm that any deal had been signed. However, it seems to be only a matter of time before Carlsberg enters this fast-developing market.
