Italian beverage company Peroni has announced it is to add a new low-carb beer to its range. Peroni Leggera - which will be available nationally from March, is being marketed towards 20-34 year-old premium beer drinkers, reports The Shout. Made using the same process and Italian ingredients as the original Peroni, the new product was officially launched at Sydney's exclusive Ivy Pool Club in February. According to AC Nielsen, low-carb beers accounted for some 28% of packaged beer growth in the Australian market in 2007.
