Business.dk reports that cans accounted for 35% of the Danish beer market up to November 2009, up from 23% in 2007, and less than 10% in 2005. This popularity is giving Carlsberg a headache as the two can lines at Fredericia cannot cope with demand and a third of its can sales are brewed and packaged at its German plants.
