Buy-In Team Wins Former Wheaton Business

A buy-in team called Glass Group Inc has won the race to acquire the glass packaging interests of Canada's Alcan Inc. The operations are largely the old Wheaton business, which became part of Alcan following a series of mergers. Glass Group Inc came into the bidding after Austria's Stolzle Oberglas decided not to proceed with its bid.
