Bulgarian glass packaging manufacturer Druzhba Staklarski Zavodi expects its sales and profit to increase by up to 15% a year in 2008-2009, from BGL 200 million (EUR 103M) and BGL 27M respectively in 2007, a senior company official said on 20 February 2008. "Sales in 2007 exceeded BGL 200M and profit reached some BGL 27M. If we keep the same pace, we expect an average annual growth of 10-15% in the next two years," the chairman of the company's board of directors, Dimitar Koev, told SeeNews on the sidelines of a press conference. Sofia-listed Druzhba Staklraski Zavodi has a 2008-2009 programme for expanding its annual capacity that will exceed one billion units in 2008, Mr. Koev said without elaborating. The company produces 800M bottles and jars a year.
