British Glass Director General At Packaging Conference

David Workman is one of the panellists appearing in session 3 "Observations from Industry Trade Bodies" at the top-level conference "Escaping the Impossible Squeeze" (22/10/08 at the National Motorcycle Museum), covering the issues of raw materials & energy price increases in the packaging supply chain. "Given that EU & UK industry is struggling with rising production & energy costs in a global market,then the events of the last 9m have potentially dire consequences for the glass industry, & means we are entering a completely new business environment where success or failure will depend on our ability to remain globally competitive while making complex decisions against a background of uncertainty & risk." Mr. Workman, appearing with Peter Davis, British Plastics Federation, Dick Searle, Packaging Fed & Cliff Luckhoo, Food & Drink Federation.
