Brexit Blamed For Tesco And Unilvever Stand Off

Brexit was blamed for the brief absence of big brands from Tesco's online store following a recent price disagreement with Unilever. A selection of Unilever products ranging from Marmite to Hellmann's mayonnaise and Ben & Jerry's ice cream disappeared from Tesco's online store in a reported post-UK referendum price dispute between the supermarket chain and the supplier. Unilever was reported to have said that overall prices in the UK would start to increase to offset weak sterling. It added that it was not expecting market improvement int he fourth quarter. The stand off also hit the share prices of Tesco and Unilever.
