Brauerei Beck Acquires Shares In Nienburger Glas

Brauerei Beck & Co of Bremen, Germany, has acquired the outstanding 5% of shares in its subsidiary, Nienburger Glas, with retroactive effect from 1 October 1997. The conversion of Nienburger Glas GmbH & Co KG (limited commercial partnership) into GmbH (limited liability company) was also backdated to the same date. The merger of Stralauer Glashuette with Nienburger Glas GmbH was effective from 1 October 1998. From 30 September 1997 to same 1998, Nienburger Glas increased volume sales by 5.5% against the previous year to 580,000 tonnes, and unit sales by 6% to 2.14bn units. (whole item)
