The Beer Academy recently arranged a special tasting at Brown's Hotel in Mayfair (recently voted the best place for afternoon tea in London), where Executive Chef Lee Streeton treated a group of gastronomes to a selection of dream-worthy puddings, matched with some very singular beers. "Beer and puddings are such happy bedfellows as they share so many complementary flavours," said Rupert. Voted top was Schneider Aventinus 8.2% ABV wheat beer with Spotted Dick and Custard, closely followed by Coors Blue Moon, 5.4% ABV American wheat beer with Steamed Orange Pudding.
