Bottero SpA, the Italian IS machine maker, has announced the signature of a contract with the company Andalou Cam Sanayii, the Turkish leading glassmaker that is part of Sisecam Group. According to the agreement, Bottero SpA will make 14 new fully electronic IS machines and related equipment for part of the new projects approved by Anadolu Cam for 2005-6. Of the machines mentioned, 12 are designed for Andalou Cam's new Russian factories and will be equipped with 12 sections and double gob operation at 5" centres. Andalou Cam expects to start production with these machines between July/05-Ap/06. With this operation Bottero and Andalou are aiming to enhance their relationship and especially to consolidate their leading position in the Russian market. The other two production lines will be installed in a new plant that Anadolu expects to open in Turkey late 2005.
