Bosch Packaging Technology will showcase new machines for automating the packing and filling of pharmaceutical products at Interpack 2008. The German-based firm will demonstrate the FXS2010 automatic filling and sealing machine for pre-sterilised nested syringes in a tub. It handles syringes with volumes from 0.5ml to 50ml and has an output of up to 4,800/hour. Visitors can also see the FXS 5100 filling and sealing machine which XXX syringes with larger volumes at up to 30.000/hour. Bosch said the VRK 4120 capping system for vials offered "precision" vial placement through an infeed wheel. The machine features 12 closing heads with a processing range from 2-500ml and offers maximum output of 27,000 vials an hour. Interpack takes place from 24-30 April at the Messe Dusseldorf.
