Bormioli Finanziaria Strengthens Holding In Container Maker

Italy's Bormioli Finanziaria has purchased the holdings of Danone and BNP Paribas, amounting to 7.78% and 5.68% respectively, in container glass maker Bormioli Rocco e Figlio. The move has increased Bormioli Finanziaria's stake from 52.28% to 65.74% at a total cost of EUR 24.928 million, or EUR 1.70 per share. Bormioli Finanziaria bought the 14,664,000 shares with financing from Efibanca; the shares have been deposited with the bank as a guarantee for the repayment of the financing.
