Bordeaux In Screwcaps

A second-growth Bordeaux wine is being bottled under screwcap as a special batch for the UK on-trade. Importer Bibendum has shipped 12,000 bottles of Les Tourelles de Longueville, the second wine of Paulliac Chateau Pichon-Longueville. The move is in response to increasing numbers of on-trade customers serving wine by the glass. Sales of the wine to high street stores and private customers will continue to use traditional cork.
