Big Investments For Owens Illinois

Owens-Illinois has unveiled big investments in glass bottle production in Australia and the US. In Australia, it is to build a fourth furnace at its ACI factory in Adelaide, making the factory the world's biggest production facilities for wine bottles and confirming their strategy of investing to ensure bottle production keeps up with booming sales and exports of Australian wine. In the US, Owens is to build a new bottle factory in either Colorado or Wyoming to meet the demands of an extended supply contract with the brewery Anheuser-Busch. Bottles will be delivered to Anheuser-Busch's plant at Fort Collins in Colorado.
