The vast potential of E-commerce or doing business electronically via the Internet may soon radically alter the way San Miguel Corp. (SMC) deals with its business partners. This is because the beverage giant is considering to establish an electronic linkage with its dealers and distributors to that placing of orders, verification of dealer credit and payment can all be done online. San Miguel's information technology unit, SMITS, is currently studying the company's venture into these click-of-the-mouse inbound and outbound business transatctions.
