Improve the taste of vintages with a gizmo that makes chemical changes in the tannic acid found in grapes. The Bev Wizard has two magnets and is attached to the neck of a bottle. It claims to alter the taste of young, tannic red wines and oaked white wines. "I put it on a Shiraz from Australia's Barossa Valley and was shocked to find that the magnets rendered the wine smoother, fruitier and longer on the finish," said US inventor Dr Patrick Farrell.
