Bending Furnaces For The Lighting Sector

The development from a producer of small furnaces for art and craft glassmakers into a versatile supplier of day-tank furnaces, tank furnaces and annealing lehrs for small to medium-sized producers of hollow glass is what MT Forni Industriali, based in Venice, northern Italy, has acheived in its thirty-year history. The company has embarked on a strategy to consolidate its position within this niche and plans to establish itself as a main supplier of complete turnkey lines for small and medium-sized companies. Nevertheless, for more than a decade MT Forni has been developing a series of furnaces for bending flat glass. This series of furnaces is especially conceived for producers of lamps and lampshades made using shaped flat glass. The firm claim that its furnaces can bend glass sheets of up to two meters.
