[Belarus] New Container Plant Mooted

The Minister of Architecture and Construction, Dmitry Mikulenok, has announced that a new container glass facility could be constructed in the country in order to meet growing demand for glass packaging. With plastic packaging feeling the pressure, the country is moving towards a "greener" solution domestically, and sees this new factory as a key strategic point on that path. There are currently only three large glass factories in the country, providing around 70% of the Belarusian market. However, these three are mainly beer and spirit bottle oriented.
