Beer Gets A Lightweight Look

Bud Ice is to be produced in the UK and packaged in new, lightweight bottles from United Glass. The 330ml clear glass bottle weighs 218g and features the well known "ice cube" effect around the shoulder. The complex shoulder engraving demands precise control during bottle manufacture and this is effectively produced using narrow neck press-blow technology. With so many facets to the glass, great care is needed to ease all stresses out of the shoulder.
