Beatson Clark has announced a new £1M+ investment in machinery for its glass making facility in Rotherham. Italian company Bottero has constructed the new K25 machine for Beatson Clark. Bottero is a leading manufacturer of machinery for the glass industry worldwide & the K25 is the first of its type in the world, using proven electronic technology to form the products & giving greater control of the process. The machine has just passed inspection in Italy by Beatson Clark production manager Tim Swetnam & is now being disassembled, prior to shipping to the UK. Installation is expected to take two weeks. "The new machine replaces the old model that came into service in 1996 & while the old machine is still performing to a high standard, the opportunity is being taken to install the latest model, which will give us a greater quality control than ever before," said Tim.
