[Bahrain] Mou Sees Chance For Glass Fibre Unit

A memorandum of understanding has been signed to set up a joint venture company to produce glass fibre in Bahrain. China-based Chongqing Polycomb International Corp (CPIC) and Abahsain Fiberglass (AFG), which produces ECR-glass fibre in Bahrain, have signed the memorandum to establish the joint venture firm to produce 200,000 tonnes of glass fibre annually in the kingdom. AFG produces ECR-glass fibre in Bahrain. CPIC has been in glass fibre production in China since 1970 and was the first manufacturer to produce E-glass fibre by the direct-melt process in 1986.
